This class will focus on constructing a truly unique ring with texture, stamps and more! We will combine measuring, hammering, soldering and forming skills to create a hollow band ring that is substantial looking while being light weight and comfortable to wear.
You will have a choice of creating a ring that is 8mm wide or 10 mm wide. Materials are extra and payable on the day of class. Average material fee is $50 and includes sterling silver, fuel, solder and the use of all tools and equipment while in class.
This class is geared toward the student that has basic metalsmithing knowledge including forming rings and soldering.
Cancellations with less than 48 hour notice will not be refunded.
Sarah Chapman has worked in the field for over 17 years and primarily works with oxidized sterling silver, copper, brass, and gold to create her pieces. Since 2008, Sarah has been using recycled, conflict-free, and SCS certified gold and sterling silver when fabricating her jewelry, also using repurposed brass and copper when possible.
