Create a unique, one-of-a-kind ring in this brand new workshop where students will explore kinetic movement, advanced connections and improve their fabrication and soldering skills overall.
Students will start with a stone of their choosing and move on to create a standard bezel. We'll explore options for creating room for the moving parts and understanding what makes this movement work best. Students will then learn techniques for fabricating and correctly sizing a tapered ring shank. We'll move on to making all the parts work and fit together as well as spin freely.
This class is for those that already have the skills to build bezels and rings and can solder with relative confidence. Bring your own materials or purchase at the studio. Suggested materials: round or oval cabochon (but bring what speaks to you), a 2x3 18g sterling sheet, bezel wire taller than needed, 14g round wire, any wire for embellishments.
Cancellations with less than 72 hour notice will not be refunded or credited.
